One of the most admirable situations in our lives is when we see a little child running to its mother. We feel so moved on seeing this, yet often we have no relations to the child or its mother. Of our parents, in usual circumstances, more love goes to the mother. this makes us thrice heated up once anyone mentions our mothers in a heated argument, or even worse, we are willing to defend our mothers from any form of attacks; verbal or physical.
Mothers make all the generous effort to make sure their children are happy and comfortable. they ensure that in all circumstances, their children are kept from danger and fear. A child is always in its mothers mind, so much so that a mother will be away from home but mentally present with their children. This justifies mothers having their children on their wallpapers, profile photos and all other avenues. This makes them think about their children all the more and absently bond with the little ones.
Life without a mother is difficult and we all cannot imagine life without our mothers, and more if she has gone to heaven, we pray ardently for her soul.
Jesus has not wanted us to live without a mother. As he bore the pain of the passion, he looked at his disciple and came the words, “ Ecce mater tua” (behold your mother.) In this words he has given us His mother to be our mother too. We surely have a mother who loves us more than we love our biological mothers. Who thinks about us all the time, who is troubled by our problems, our weaknesses, our failures…
The church has given us the month of May to show our love to our blessed mother with the prayer of the Holy Rosary. It is a token of affection for children to collect roadside flowers and give them to their mothers. The Rosary, in each beads is a flower that we give our loving mother. We can work on this token and our blessed mother will smile upon us with the beautiful radiance of her face and will win us many graces from heaven.
