CALLED HIGHER

We live in a day and age where lies are more than truths. We more often have to prove everything we say to make it a truth or else… This situaton has highly affected our christian life, so much so that we cannot believe unless we have miracles. The words of Christ ring again into my ear, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. ” (Jn 20:29)

We have to believe in Christ’s presence everywhere and in everything we do. We often think that we need to do very big things for us to be close to God. we often believe that for a message to be from God, it has to be by a dream and end up underestimating God’s capacity to speak to us through our immediate neighbour. `` omne verum a quoqumque dicatur, a spiritu sancto est ” (If something is true, no matter who said it, it is always from the holy spirit, {St. Thomas Aquinas}). We tend to think that to be in the presence of God, we have to be in a church, that We cannot be Holy if we continue leading our ordinary jobs. We lead honest lives, but not saintly lives. Christ only features on Sunday. We often live and work for our own Glory and not for the glory of God. We simply are Just good, while we should be best.

God is not satisfied with a mediocre life. We are caled to higher. We are called to more. We are called to sanctity, to live a holy Life in the world. We have to be the evidence of reality of Christ. We have to be alter Christus – other Christs.

The Church Celebrates St. Josemaria Escriva on June 26, of each year. St. John Paul II called him the saint of ordinaru life. His teachin was that all people reagrdlesss of their, state are called to become saints. You and I want to have our names given an abbreviaton of St…. and according to St. Josemaria, it all begins with where you are, by working well, working for love.

Well then, off you go, today now… The road to sanctity begins.
